2023 Cross Country Schedule Announced

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh men's and women's cross country teams unveiled their 2023 competition schedule Monday afternoon, as announced by Director of Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Alonzo Webb.

The 2023 season opens in Pittsburgh on September 1st with the Panther Invitational held at Schenley Park. The men's 5K will begin at 8:45 a.m., followed by the women's 5K at 9:15 a.m. Admission is free to all fans.

The following Friday, the Panthers will travel to Penn State for the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational.

After two weeks off, the Panthers will be back on the road, this time in South Bend for the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite at the Burke Golf Course on September 29th.

The regular season will conclude Saturday October 14th at UVA Pre Nationals, hosted by the University of Virginia at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, VA.

The 2023 ACC Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Florida State on Friday, October 27th in Tallahassee. The Panthers will look to improve upon last season's ACC Championship performance, where the men finished in 10th place with 292 points and the women finished 13th with 368 points.

The NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Meet is scheduled for November 10th at Lehigh University. Last year, the men's squad finished in fifth place with 127 points, the best team score in program history. Jack Miller and Luke Henseler qualified for NCAA Championships with their 10k times of 30:11.20 and 30:18.70, respectively. The women's squad finished in tenth place with 296 points.

The Panthers will be looking to return to Charlottesville for the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships on November 18th.
